The SIC Charismatic Prayer Group (CPG) had its first prayer meeting with 30 people in attendance on Friday, 29th July 1976 with the blessing of the then Parish Priest, Rev Fr Francis Ng CDD who also was the first CDD priest of St Ignatius Church. Incidentally, it was also on that day when 123 priests and 3 bishops left for a month of prayer and discernment in Penang to seek the Lord’s direction for the churches in Malaysia. The ministry has organised many renewal programmes at SIC as well all over Malaysia, Singapore and Sabah.

The Prayer Group Consists Of Three Ministries:

Healing Ministry
Intercessory Ministry
Music Ministry

Together they form the Prayer Group along with the Core Team which governs the Ministries.
